Turtle Cove Beach Resort is Australia’s only LGTBQIA+ adults only resort! Renowned for its social inclusivity and events and parties, what tops it off is its prime beachfront location, with uninterrupted views of the coral Sea, where the World Heritage listed ‘Daintree Rainforest’ meets The Great Barrier Reef! Even better…whilst Turtle Cove’s beachfront positioning gives it its own exclusive, private and secluded beach…it also includes a clothing-optional section! I visited this little piece of paradise for the first time last year in October…and I am in love! I had heard so many good things about this place, and it exceeded all expectations!
So, there is no other way to get onto this beautiful stretch of clothing-optional beach other than to go through Turtle Cove Beach Resort itself! I actually really like this because, firstly, it’s secluded, so there is a real sense of privacy and discretion. Whilst you don’t have to pay to get onto the beach, or even necessarily be a staying guest of Turtle Cover Beach Resort, it is courteous (and encouraged by myself and other nudists also) to support the resort by purchasing a drink and/or a meal before making your way through and onto the beach. ‘Support the businesses that support you!’ as Turtle Cove’s manager, Nathan, mentioned when I spoke to him…and I couldn’t agree more!
The staff are super friendly and the food is yummy. Overall, it’s a great day out! The resort itself has a great range of facilities for its guests. With 30 rooms, guests can also take advantage of a spa room, restaurant, fitness centre, hot tub, pool, and recreation room that features a bar and billiard table.
The clothing-optional section of the beach has just a little natural shading, depending on where the sun is.
It is ‘stinger season’ from November-May, so you won’t see many, if any, people in the water (due to poisonous jellyfish!). Crocodiles are also present in the waters of Far North Queensland, hence seeing very few people in the water. This is sign-posted very clearly all throughout the region! Oh Australia! Nonetheless, you do get a nice ocean breeze and it is absolutely stunning! The other great thing is that Turtle Cove has a pool for it’s guests…so there’s always that option too!
Overall, this was a standout on my FNQ adventure...and I can't wait to go back!
So, get yourself some refreshments, sit back and enjoy this fun video.
Thank you again for being curious and staying open-minded.
Happy viewing!

Located near Palm Cove, in the tropics of Far North Queensland, Buchan Point is an unofficial nude beach…with a naughty reputation. A beautiful beach that overlooks The Great Barrier Reef…but one that I was warned about on various occasions when researching places to visit on my nudie adventure i...
