Playa Costa Natura - A Nude Beach between Spain and Africa

In our last episode from 2024 Spanish Nakation, we are spending a morning at Playa Costa Natura.
Playa Costa Natura is a 400 metre stretch of nude beach located near the town of Estepona, along the Costa Del Sol, between Marbella and Gibraltar, in the Malaga region in the very south of Spain.
The beach fronts onto Spain’s first family-friendly naturist resort 'Costa Natura'.
And whilst the beach can be visited by both resident naturists and non-residents of the resort, it is closed by a small promontory on the east side and a river bed on the west side, limiting public pedestrian traffic. So, you’ll find that you never feel like a sardine squished amongst a thousand other humans as can be the case with many busy European beaches.
Whilst it is a free beach, you also have the option to hire sun beds and parasols and/or enjoy some nibbles and refreshments from the beach kiosk ‘Renatos’…which actually operates from within Costa Natura and serves both residents and non-residents of the resort.
It is a sandy beach with pebbles, but soft enough that it is pleasant to walk along the soft, sandy shoreline barefoot.
It is a bit rocky at one point when entering the sea, but about 30 metres along it is clear sand and easy to stroll into the sea.
But, the water temperature is surprisingly fresh. It was 15 degrees celsius when I was there in the middle of Summer! So, you're sure to feel invigorated after a swim…especially on those searingly hot summer days when you get the winds blowing off of the Saharan Desert.
Located along the Alboran Sea, across from which is North Africa, it is the westernmost portion of the Mediterranean Sea…lying between the Iberian Peninsula and the north of Africa.
From the shore, and on a clear day, you can see the ‘Atlas’ mountain range across the sea in North Africa…which traverses through Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia and separates the Sahara Desert from the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
I loved to enjoy an evening stroll along this beach during my 5 night stay at Costa Natura. And on this morning that I filmed, there was a heap of fog and haze…to the point where it was difficult to see where the ocean ended and the horizon began.
So, come and enjoy a beautiful, hazy morning at Playa Costa Natura with me.
Besos,
Jessa
