The first episode from my 2026 Sydney Nakation series!

And it’s Sydney’s most popular and beloved nude beach…Cobblers Beach!

Cobblers Beach is one of 3 legal nude beaches in the Sydney area.

It is nestled within the Sydney Harbour National Park in Mosman, New South Wales, Australia...an upscale suburb in Sydney’s north.

It is a secluded harbour beach located on the northern side of Middle Head…with its sister nude beach ‘Obelisk’ located on the southern side of Middle Head.

Located right next to the naval base, HMAS Penguin, it has been an officially designated clothing-optional beach since December 1996.

Known for its picturesque setting, calm waters and tight-knit community, it’s easy to see why it has become Sydney’s most beloved nude beach.

This was my second time visiting this beach…the last time being when I attended the Sydney Skinny event back in 2019! As I’d remembered it back then, Cobblers has a very tight-knit community of regulars…some of whom were there when I went in 2019 were there this time round also!

With it being a harbour beach, it boasts beautiful calm waters with very little swell.

It is also popular with boaters as the cove offers sheltered mooring…with many of the boaters stripping off and enjoying some nude sunbathing onboard along with a skinny dip or some snorkelling.

The beach is rather narrow and it can get quite busy and crowded…especially on weekends or public holidays.

I went on a Tuesday during the work week and there was about 40 or so people by midday…so I was quite surprised by how busy this little cove got even on a work day! But there were a fair few younger couples and the usually solo middle-aged and older gents about, with a group of women gathered on the grassy patch and another solo female like myself. All in all, there was a great diversity of beach goers.

So, with it being a small cove that is dotted with lots of naked people, it was definitely a little challenging to film. So, I did the best that I could. I spent most of my time there chatting to the various regulars that frequent the beach…all of whom were very lovely and welcoming.
