The nude beach that didn't initially impress us all too much...but that changed...
Smalleys Beach is an unofficial nude beach located approximately 35 kilometres north of Mackay in Central Queensland, Australia.
It is situated along the ‘Hibiscus Coast’ and is adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.
The beach backs onto the Cape Hillsborough National Park where there is the option to camp behind the beach at the ’Smalleys Beach Camping Area’ (although it's not nude camping).
When we arrive, there really wasn't much of a beach! The tide was SOOOOO far out we thought that perhaps it's really not so much of a beach...
But...at the end of the day...the tide came all the way back in and we were then convinced it WAS, indeed, a beach. The tidal activity is wild there! I couldn't believe how far out and in the tide comes!
